Rasaraja's Blog closing the year...In the last day members of 108 flew and drove far distances to meet at Vic's place, situated in the mighty Inland Empire (CA), to have our first practice of the year and begin writing and recording demos for a new record.Yes, practice for 108 is a yearly event when you live so far apart.This year we managed to record and release a new record, A New Beat From A Dead Heart, on Deathwish Inc.All in all a very productive year for us.Avocado Booking and everyone who came out to the shows, bought a record or thought of buying one but chose to download that shit for free (yes, we still love you).Peace of Earth, War on Stage (Deathwish Inc.Alright boys and girls, I hope you all had a great year and that 2008 will be good to all of us.Before I joined 108 I was in a band called Ressurection with members of such fine bands as Lifetime, Texas is the Reason, Kid Dynamite, The Van Pelt, Floorpunch, Jets to Brazil and Paint it Black.The band has a new MySpace page and will be announcing news on an upcoming discography set to be released in 2008 after a remix by our good friend Kurt Ballou at Godcity Studios (Converge).As we quickly approach the end of 2007 we are also approaching the one year anniversary of when I joined 108.In fact, it's going to come as it did last year, during what may now be a Christmas tradition in Ye Olde House of DiCara (wherever it may be).I've done things I never really thought I'd do, and seen things I never thought I'd have the opportunity to see, ALL THANKS TO MUSIC.It is primarily my experiences with 108 that have made me grow increasingly dissatisfied with my daily static routine, and helped to affirm the things I can and want to do with my life.As we enter 2008, I hope I can give to the band what it gives me.Add us as a friend here so we can spam you easily.It's the modern thing to do.Website: vicdicara at mac dot c o m (send pics, vids, etc.XSLT processor that generates
