120 Days biography, 120 Days discography

This will be our first shows in 2008 and to mark that this is the beginning of something new we'll be playing a lot of brand new songs for you.We will start working on a new album as soon as we get back to Oslo in 2008.We will be doing the last show for 2007 at Sunkissed in Oslo. This will be a brand new set with a lot of new songs. The 120 Days debut album is being released in Japan in August by the great Traffic label.Days will play 3 dates this week: on May the 17th they will headline Sonic Cathedral at The Legion, London, the day after, May the 18th they play the The Great Escape in Brighton before heading to Les Nuits Sonores Festival in Lyon, France, on May the 19th.This time 120 Days are headlining the cool Sonic Cathedral club at The Legion in London, Thursday the 17th of May."Who knew that Norway had a space program?DJ Magazine has a feature on the hottest four names in dance music and 120 Days is one of them:"Adding their distinctive Neu!Days" out the 23rd of April on classy imprint Smalltown Supersound. After a long US tour, 120 Days returns to Europe for a string of shows (see live listing) and they will among others play another show in London, this time Friday the 13th of April at Carling Academy Islington (N1 Centre, 16 Parkfield Street, London N1 0PS).NME: 120 DAYS THE SECOND BEST GIG AT SXSW!NME has voted the best bands of this years SXSW festival, and 120 Days is number 2!Europe the 23rd of April on Smalltown Supersound.Kaukolampi, Mental Overdrive + a brand new long remix of Sleepwalking done by 120 Days themselves. Also 120 Days will do a string of European tour dates and festivals, check out our live section for more details or check out the My Space site here. Also playing is Smalltown labelmate Bjorn Torske as well as Takka Takka. The Norwegian music journalists have voted 120 Days Album Of The Year 2006.Norways 2nd biggest newspaper Dagbladet ranked 120 Days album in the 1st place in their ranking of 2006 Norwegian album releases.Norways 3rd biggest newspaper Aftenposten Aftenposten ranked 120 Days album on the 2nd place in their ranking of 2006 album releases.US's great Fader Magazine's webspace TV has a showcase of 120 Days performing live in their studio.New Norwegian buzz band 120 Days may have picked its name as a sly reference to the Marquis de Sade's infamous novel of sexual fetishes and torture, 120 Days of Sodom (groupies beware). While the band's Can and Kraftwerk reference points are blatantly spelled out within its looping rhythms, 120 Days isn't nearly as automated and dry as those influences sometimes imply.Pop and electronica instead of bluegrass and folk.DAYS "120 DAYS" CD Out 23.These songs are totally allergic to restraint; they're built for huge outdoor festivals, and they push outward and unfold upward, aiming for cheap seats. These guys go big on everything. It takes a live performance to appreciate 120 Days, a Norwegian band that takes the throbbing repetition of rave music and German synthesizer rock and adds fervent vocals.Days is a Norwegian band.Meisfjord, and was formed in 2001 under the name 'The Beautiful People'.After two EPs on the Public Demand label, the group signed to prominent Norwegian independent label Smalltown Supersound. The group toured the United States shortly after the release of the album. All text is available under the terms of the GNU Free Documentation License.French writer Marquis de Sade in 1785.It relates the story of four wealthy men who enslave 24 mostly teenaged victims and sexually torture them while listening to stories told by old prostitutes. The book was not published until 1905.It was first published in 1904 by the Berlin psychiatrist Iwan Bloch (who used a pseudonym 'Dr.Assessments The first publisher of the work, Dr.Days of Sodom when, in 1955, French authorities planned on destroying it and three other major works by Sade.Instead, Laborde advocates a view of '120 Days of Sodom' that stresses the signifying, as opposed to the symbolizing, function of Sadian language and person.Jacques Rousseau" in particular, and the Enlightenment concept of man's innate goodness in general.Synopsis The 120 Days Of Sodom has been described as a Gothic novel. It is set in a remote medieval castle, high in the mountains and surrounded by forests, detached from the rest of the world and not set at any specific point in time (although it is implied at the start that the events in the story take place either during or shortly after the Thirty Years' War, which lasted from 1618 to 1648).The novel takes place over five months, November to March. They intend on listening to various tales of depravity from four veteran prostitutes, which will inspire them to engage in similar activities with their victims. After that, the remaining three parts are written as a draft, in note form, with Sade's footnotes to himself still present in most translations. The story does portray some black humor, and Sade seems almost lighthearted in his introduction, referring to the reader as "friend reader."Sade despised religion and authority and in many of his works he enjoyed mocking them by portraying priests, bishops, judges and the like as sexual perverts and criminals.Blangis is described as being tall, strongly built and highly sexually potent, although it is emphasised that he is a complete coward, and proud of it too.The victims are: The daughters of the four principal characters, whom they have been sexually abusing for years. All die with the exception of the Duc's daughter Julie, who is spared for becoming something of a libertine herself. All have been kidnapped and chosen because of their beauty. They are also all virgins, and the four libertines plan on deflowering them over the course of events.Four of the eight aforementioned studs.Plot summary As mentioned above, the novel is set out to a strict timetable. For each of the first four months, November to February, the prostitutes take turns to tell five stories each day, relating to the fetishes of their most interesting clients, and thus totalling 150 stories for each month (in theory at least; Sade made a few mistakes as he was apparently unable to go back and review his work as he went along). They are only considered 'simple' in terms of them not including actual sexual penetration. They include perverts who skin children alive, disembowel pregnant women, burn alive entire families and kill newborn babies in front of their mothers. It features the 'Hell Libertine' who masturbates whilst watching fifteen teenage girls being simultaneously tortured to death.During this month, the libertines brutally kill three of the four daughters they have between them, along with four of the female children and two of the male ones.Sade summarizing things even more by this final point in the novel. He lists the days on which the surviving children and many of the other characters are disposed of, although he does not give any details.Instead he leaves a footnote to himself pointing out his intention on detailing things more in a future revision. It is perhaps significant that Sade was interested in the manner in which sexual fetishes are developed, as are his primary characters, who urge the storytellers to remind them, in later stages, as to what the client in that particular anecdote enjoyed doing in their younger years. At the end of the novel, Sade draws up a list of the characters with a note of those who were killed and when, and also those who survived.Sodoma (Salo, or The 120 Days of Sodom).Too many keywords can constrain your search.Use fewer keywords to find more results.View or change your orders in Your Account. After viewing product detail pages or search results, look here to find an easy way to navigate back to pages you are interested in.About 120 Days of Powder! It's a chance for a ski bum to get that powder day stoke from my desk downtown on a Tuesday!Q: Where can I find California appellate court opinions online? The opinions are posted to the Web site when they are issued by the courts, and they remain accessible on the opinions page for 120 days.Opinions are thereafter accessible on the Official Reports page or the slip opinions archive page. The most appropriate version of an opinion to rely on is the version on the Official Reports page, which has been edited and corrected in accord with rule 976 (e) of the California Rules of Court. An opinion that has been superseded is no longer considered published and, with limited exceptions, may not be cited or relied on by a court or party.Rules of Court, rules 976 (d) and 977 (a).Because opinions on this Web site are not primarily provided for purposes of legal research, other sources of legal information must be consulted to determine if an opinion is superseded and noncitable.
