Sleeping Tigers NOVEMBER 4!Listen to our new sons on purevolume!This user has either cancelled their membership, or their account has been deleted.Id + " Link: " + targetLink.Music and the eMusic logo are registered trademarks in the USA and other countries.Suggested Tracks: 1, 2, 3FCC CleanBIO:A Verse Unsung is an electrifying and aggressive rock group of four young guys from Minneapolis.They have just finished their first EP and are making a name for themselves in the Minneapolis rock scene.The band started a year ago when Jake and Dan began hanging out and writing songs on acoustic, a year later they have a full line up and over 15 songs written.Colt and Steve showed up to few practices and helped the band establish 5 solid songs to record.Minneapolis, where he and Colt recorded A Verse Unsung.They have been playing shows all around the Midwest, and are planning a 2 week spring tour and a full summer tour.The band has also started production on their next batch of songs with producers Steve Hodge and Colt Leeb.They have decided to record another 5 songs, and will be releasing them sometime this summer.The Buzz continues to grow about A Verse Unsung from their fiercely aggressive performances to their hard hitting CD so next time they come through your town check out their show and pick up a copy of there new CD!Verse Unsung is a quartet out of Minneapolis that writes really powerful songs that would appeal to fans of bands like Dropping Daylight and any band with christian undertones (but that doesn't necessarily mean that they have them).Which is a good and bad thing.With a full length on the way, I hope they manage to correct this error.The bright spots on The Autumn EP definitely are "I Lived, I've Loved, I Lost", "Cali", and "The Fall Part 1".The vocals soar, the repative chords fall sour.All in all, The Autumn EP shows signs of greatness, but i'm not convinced that with their upcoming full length they'll be able to truly shine yet.I'm a writer for some webzine.Fortunately, A Verse Unsung manage to dabble on the fringes of emo without ever actually getting there.Because this usually isn't my type of music.But then again, at least they do this stuff pretty well.Bottom Line: Above average heavy rock with hints of emo, but not enough to make it lame.Janet Jackson and Boys II Men, especially one whose claim to fame is their 5,000 Myspace friends.Minneapolis that really show their age.While apparently getting noticed on the college radio airwaves south of the border, A Verse Unsung have yet to make much of a stir elsewhere.EP entitled The Autumn EP, is filled with annoyingly similar tracks with lacklustre lyrics and less than shining guitar hooks that leave the listener wondering just how far a random yet well known producer and a management team comprised of parents can carry such an atrocity."The autumn EP" will appeal to fans of emo, punk, modern rock and even numetal.It turned out that that band was attempting to poke fun at the genre in a tongue and check fashion; however, most people overlooked that satirical humor and thought it was a real release.The name, while not as obvious as The Heartbreak Club, screams out standard emo fare and the bright pink rose splattered across the cover does little to dampen that impression either.Unfortunately though, this is the real deal: yet another band trying to climb the coattails of a dying trend.While not as radio friendly and overtly polished as most new emo acts coming out today, A Verse Unsung is still treading in shallow water as far as originality is concerned.Dropping Daylight or The Receiving Ends of Sirens.It combines for a style that the likes of Triple Crown and Octone Records has perfected over the past few years making The Autumn EP rather complacent, predictable and monotone despite not being a sound you hear everywhere.Everything on The Autumn EP follows the now common format of a short EP topped off with the short acoustic closer (which, frankly, falls on deaf ears every time it plays because it is so soft and delivers no real substance).Verse Unsung would be better off left unsung.We have established rules for access to this server, and any person or robot
