We'll play 9 to 11 PM, if it's busy we'll play later into the evening.We'd love to see you there.Riley is an excellent example of just such a performer.Blues, but he has been singing for most of his
life.Festival and the experience encouraged him to find
more gigs around town.Blues, have been performing together regularly at the Mock Crest Tavern
and other local venues.To complement his guitar playing and singing,
Aric has also been developing his songwriting skills.He began taking piano lessons as a child and continued for several years.He also briefly dabbled with the drums.He joined the choir in middle school and stayed with
it throughout high school.Aric a while to really develop an intense interest
in the Blues.Blues artists such as John Lee Hooker, Muddy Waters, Albert King, and Robert
Johnson.Aric enrolled at Portland State University
as a music student.His first effort at college had lasted only a year and
he then took a couple of years off trying to figure out what to do with himself.Acoustic Blues really took off.Aric was completely hooked and performing
Acoustic Blues became his passion.Aric did continue his voice studies at PSU for
a time after catching the Country Blues fever.Jimmy Rodgers and Jimmy Oden, all presented in the
style of Country or Folk Blues.Aric has asked Terry to also
produce his next studio endeavor.Katey began with the trumpet in grade school and picked up the guitar as
a teenager.Dave Kahl and Albert Reda.Blues now that she no longer runs competitively
in distance races, which she did for almost 20 years.Aric and Katey perform, their love of the Blues and commitment to the art
form are obvious and, hopefully, infectious.That certainly isn't the
case with Portland guitarist Aric Riley, though.Robb, who has offered these same talents to great success for the likes of John
Fahey and Sheila Wilcoxson.Also recruited to assist on three tracks is
bassist Katey Angel.Aric Riley also displays his efforts as
a songwriter himself.Trouble is the type of recording that you'll want to listen to over
and over.The recordings feature a steady diet of traditional American music and originals tunes steeped in tradition.So you can find friends (and friends can find you).It takes less than 30 seconds to get started:
