theyre telling her to gome, that she has done her purchasing!!!SynopsisTomoya Okazaki is a third year student labelled as a delinquent.Everything seems to be unchanging for his school life until he meets Nagisa, and Tomoya finds that his life is about to change.He starts to have dreams of a bleak world and meets a girl who has the ability to fuse junk together in order to create things, and doing so, creates a body out of junk for him.Well, it has the same productionstudio, same kind of animation and style.And if you like the mysterious style of Clannad, you sure will in Kanon (2006).Like many others say, it is made by the same people.However, unlike many other animes, these are clean fun that aren't loaded down with fan service and ecchi.From watching the first few episodes it is obvious to notice several similarities between the 2 shows and I'm not just talking about the production studio.Both have very good storylines that are totally individual to the character no matter how random it is.Both by the same company.Agree with all the others here.CLANNAD is a revisiting of the themes in Kanon, so watch that one first.The same studio, similiar main characters, many cute girls, both are fantastic.Kyoto Animation is the producer again.The two main characters are very similar in their sarcastic tone.The story surrounds the main male lead's interaction with the girls around him.That's Why It's So Good.Cute Anime from Key Studio..AIR, KANON, CLANNAD are made by KEY.Over the past few years Kyoto Animation has been held in high regard for producing high quality, enjoyable works.Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu, Full Metal Panic, Kanon, Air, Lucky Star.All of these animes have been praised to no end by anime viewers everywhere.Now, Clannad seems to have joined the ranks of KyoAni's masterful creations and it does...Story: Clannad is yet another adaptation of a visual novel from the company Key.The story is similar to other Key works like Kanon and Air.So basically it's divided into five mini stories.The plot progression is at a nice pace, without too many sudden changes to throw the viewer off.Cultural Festival, KyoAni manages to put some small differences in that make the viewing experience enjoyable nonetheless.Art: This is one of the best parts of the Clannad.The colors are bright and the details are amazing.The art style stays true to Key's classic character designs, with the girls all having really big eyes, with slightly higher noses.This may take a while to get used to for people who haven't watched Kanon and Air, which follow the same design.It's only in the truly serious situations where I notice the background music as it's emphasized greatly to maximize the effect of the scene.Kotomi to the crybaby Sanae who might I add is one of the hottest anime moms ever.Each character has their own personal quirks that makes them unique.The girls are all cute and the guys are hilarious.Nagisa, even though she's intended to be the main female, is in fact the most plain out of all of them but with Nakahara Mai's voice behind her her likability sky rockets.Fuko is adorable with her starfish obsession and Tomoyo's kicking ability is so unbelievable it's ridiculous.However, the two somehow fit together so well that having one without the other is unthinkable.Enjoyment: Clannad is enjoyable to the last second.The one point that makes it enjoyable is the masterful combination of slapstick humor with hilarious dialogue.There are points where I can't help but laugh and some points where I feel sad, each incorporated masterfully so there is no sudden mood swing from happy to sad.Final Comments: My judgment for this series may be impaired by the fact that I have an almost unhealthy obsession with Kyoto Animation but I think I can clearly say that Clannad is the best anime of the Fall 2007 season.Clannad is something no anime lover should miss.Based on a visual novel by Key, Clannad takes the viewer into a seemingly simple story of life at school, but the series soon develops mysteries and tales of wonder.Each girl in Clannad (main and supporting cast) has her own personality quirk, one of which is bound to attract a fan.That kind of variety works to attract many viewers.While Tomoya's daily life is indeed surrounded by beautiful girls, he is not interested in dating any of them.Some episodes do define their focus on a particular girl, but the overall immersive feel of the series is not lost.Characters and backgrounds are brilliantly drawn.Body language is also visible, which speaks louder than words most times.All the music is taken from the original game, which many fans praise, although it does not allow for too much creativity.Plus it was composed to fit the story for a reason; why not reuse it?The ED thing (at least the lyrics) is new, though, I believe.Clannad pulls at the heartstrings very effectively when the time is right.They know how not to disappoint.Visual Novel (dating sim) and with the bar set pretty high, this anime is able to reach the expectations of its fans.The comedy of Clannad is on a completely different level, as it manages to turn anything to do with games (RPGs) or romance anime into a hilarious joke.The quality of the animation is nothing short of wonderful, with beautifully drawn girls, dynamic backgrounds completely fluid movements that would put many shows to shame.Each of the main characters gets their own theme tunes that go well with their personalities, adding a sort of personal touch to the main girls.Overall Clannad has proven to be one of the best Harem, Romance anime of our time.Even with a lot of parallels with its predecessors, Clannad still manages to break free and become a show of its own.Clannad, you just need a heart.If this was made by any other company then I would immediately recognize this as an absolute masterpiece and not dare to say anything bad about it, but I'm going to be extremely picky here.Key animes and I would just be repeating reviews for Air and Kanon.I'm not going to go into detail about how godly these two companies are but I can tell you that Kanon was just incredible.As a Key game, I believe I can put great faith in the story.The art is amazing as always with Kyoani, and I am glad that they have not let me down here.The camera is a lot more lively in Clannad, which helps attract the viewer's attention.The OP in this anime is just great, and one of my favorites.The characters are always the best part of Key animes.The protagonist is very well portrayed and getting into his mind is very entertaining.Clannad shows some signs of this too but it concentrates on the humor a lot more.Overall, I feel that this anime is great, and some parts are unparalleled.People that have watched kanon already might feel that it is not as great, and although some aspects of it surpass kanon, I can't say it is better overall.Because they're the best around, duh...Fast, no typos, and Fonts are easy to read.As always very high quality, yet fast!Other than that, their releases are quite consistent too.They continued the series and dont paralyze the job of fansubbing like other fansubs with this anime, i hope that they continuing until end!MKV format which sucks25Always quick and accurate.They are most perfect out of others27eclipse owns.Always a great job, they translate it with more clarity than anyone else and brilliant looking subs29They've done a great job compared to many other companies I've seen.Quick, easy to read, good font, good choice of words.Accurate, fast, high quality releases, and they release widescreen versions soon after.Excellent quality video and translation!And they're also doing the widescreen.Didn't notice any spelling mistakes and the font is a lot better.They are a decent alternative choice however they not as fast and started of several episodes in.Clannad game7For quite a new fansubbing group, they're doing a great job.Didnt notice any major mistakes and (ar least for episode 14) you were fast.High Quality5Bar far the best translations and fonts.Even translated the ending credits6Quality.In comparison, the releases aren't up to date with other fansubs.Spelling and Grammar mistakes, too.Cursing doesn't seem to fit in with an anime like Clannad.Network, Akio and Sanae Furukawa Insane Love.Starfish
