Ed Royal and DJ Enne biography, Ed Royal and DJ Enne discography
This user has either cancelled their membership, or their account has been deleted.Id + " Link: " + targetLink. His intention was to bring listeners closer to rare groove and funk. After his first gigs in Broglu, Sappalott and Boing he became Resident DJ in the popular Jimmys Bar in Innsbruck. As well as standing behind the turntables Ed Royal wanted to produce music and thus opened his own studio in 1999.On this record Ed Royal worked for the first time with his ideally matched, now partner, DJ Enne.He had been a friend for 20 years but both had until now fought their own way through the music jungle. The label Innvision Records is now a household name amongst the funk and breakbeat scene and is there amongst the top elite with artists such as Malente, Fort Knox Five, the All Good Funk Alliance and others.Rob Birch (Stereo Mcs) etc.The music at the Galaxy was similar to the Cosmic and Typhoon Discotheque, a mixture of jazz, funk, fusion, German electronics, dub, disco, and Brazilian stuff.Back home in Innsbruck, at end of the eighties, he became resident DJ at the famous American Bar and stayed there for several years.DJ ENNE is also a busy producer and remixer. It's an afro funky cosmic sound.Bonus, Soulphonic Sound System and many, many more. His releases continue to appear in the German club charts and are featured in the record collections of well known DJ mates Makossa (FM4 Radio, Austria), Jon H (Fort Knox Five), Kid Loco (Yellow Prod.Enne's own label and they've released most of their work through Innvision.FM4), Jon H (Fort Knox Five), Kid Loco (Yellow Productions), and Rob Birch (Stereo MC's), and they've contributed to Brazilectro and Ursula 1000's "Ursadelica" to name the least. They've also done remixes for the likes of All Good Funk Alliance, Soulphonic Sound System and Parov Stellar. When it comes to the music on The Groove Collage you'll get a little bit of everything, but what else would you expect."Vamos Irmanos" was released as one of the singles off The Groove Collage (as was "It's Hip To Be Square") and it's a heavy Latin groove saturated with funky keys and horns over a smooth layer of breakbeats.Amazing, amazing vibe on this song.Enne close out with "Groove Collage", a lay it all out jazz jam with strong Latin influences.Audio files are provided for promotional purposes only. Thanks to all for the love and support!Once again here are two more new Tracks reflecting the funky roots of Ed and Enne as well as a Remix from Soulphonic Soundsystem from Washington D.Bass carries the floating groove and the scratching WahWah Guitar makes the funky tune perfect.Soulphonic Soundsystem is more jazzy and that's an interesting alternative on this12inch.Breakbeat style with a little bit electro and it would not be Ed Royal and Enne, if there wasn't a pinch of Funk to give the Track the right spice to rock the clubs.
