Gypsy Meltdown is one of my favorite bands.Their CD is fabulous, and Colleen and Kathy have composed a few tunes of their own that are pretty good.And since I call with them a lot we have a very good rapport, so I would HIGHLY recommend that everyone come on out to the Aug.ALL our Wednesday night contra dances).Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.This forum powered by Phorum.Men face out in ocean wave.While the gents walk CCW, ladies walk CW.Caller breaks in to lead a serpentine.All swings end facing other couple.The 2nd circle is MMFF, not MFMF.From the end of it to the partner swing, partners do not lose their handholds.In bending the line, actives turn to face new couple.During gypsy meltdown, twos trade places.After it, partners face in, up and down.Women circle alone outside the circle, men on inside.Pass two persons of other gender to find next partner.Actives end their swing facing up toward the twos.Listen to a Contra Dance Tune (202k)Notes: If person is omitted in a figure, assume ALL.Chains, hays and figure 8s are assumed to be once over unless specified as returning.
