Hajime No Ippo biography, Hajime No Ippo discography

Trivia: The series is based on a long running manga in Japan.Hajime No Ippo (Knockout in Philippines and Fighting Spirit here in the US)is a must for all sports fans.If you like sports (especially boxing), you will love the authenticity in which the animators present the boxing concepts and realism, not to mention the gradual development of the protagonist, Ippo Makunouchi. You could feel the punches grinding on the boxer's bodies. If you are a newcomer, fear not.Was the above comment useful to you?You may report errors and omissions on this page to the IMDb database managers.Terms and Privacy Policy under which this service is provided to you. After some inspiration from magazines, videos, and boxers, he decided to take up boxing.Boxing changed Ippo's life, and now his dream is to become pro and fight in matches.Median rating: ExcellentArithmetic mean: 8.Hajime no Ippo: All Stars to come to the U.Mamiko Noto interviewMamiko Noto, voice actress and singer extraordinaire, sits the content may be to watch, it does have its moments.Don't expect anything beyond the usual fancy leaps and explosions.Hell Girl DVD 3The series may drag at times, but these middle episodes still waiting for : Hajime no Ippo.I'm not the greatest fan of the serie (even if i read the first 52 volumes) but i love fighting games, boxing mangas and i loved the Hajime no Ippo game on Gameboy Advance that was developped by Treasure and ESP.I'm impatient to play with Takashi Sendo, the Naniwa Tiger from Osaka, Aoki the frog and Takamura, the pervert world champion. This is the question that Ippo Makunouchi has wondered his entire life.Throughout his childhood, Ippo has been picked and bullied on.Not being able to hang out with his fellow classmates because he is too busy helping his mother run a fish boat store has made Ippo into a shy loner.Although Ippo hates being bullied, he hates himself even more because he does not know how to fight back. However, Ippo's world changes when he encounters Takamura Mamoru, a professional boxer.Hajime no Ippo, created by Morikawa Jyoji in 1990, is one of best all around series I have seen, despite it being in the sports genre. The characters are so great in Hajime no Ippo, I believe it has raised the bar for not just sport series (perhaps previously held by Slam Dunk!In fact, Hajime no Ippo is still so popular that the manga has been going on strong for almost a decade and a half!Ippo's journey from a wimp to a strong boxer is a relatively straight forward one. After Ippo's encounter with Takamura, he is given advice on how to throw a strong punch.Ippo, perhaps even suprising himself, tears his right fist apart with a devastating blow to a sand bag.Takamura, not one to invest much interest in some kid that might have just been lucky, simply gives advice and a tape to Ippo. The tape is of Mike Tyson, who was also picked on when he was a child, but then transformed into the heavy weight champion of the world.Whether it be from quickly grasping leaves to a spar with a much more talented boxer, Ippo does not back away.Instead, Ippo meets each challenge head on with lots of motivation because now Ippo might find the answers to what he is looking for.And that is, of course, what is it to be strong? This is perhaps a simple question, but to Ippo it has much more meaning to it.Ippo is taken under the wing of the Kamogawa Gym, the gym where Takamura trains. So until I make those, I will use this little area on the bottom to create the links of working pages.SynopsisIppo, a timid highschooler, is one day saved from being beaten up by Takamura, a boxer.Hajime no Ippo and Kenichi are very similar, mostly by looking at the main characters. However, they both train hard and become stronger in order to achieve their goals.Shijou Saikyou no Deshi Kenichi is the same as Hajime no Ippo but the difference that Shijou Saikyou no Deshi Kenichi is about Martial Arts and not about Boxing as in Hajime no Ippo.Kenichi) decides to take on fighting. Then they shift between training and facing enemies of increasing difficulty until the get to the one on top. Both are about sports and character development. Each series follows a story where the main character is struggling to be the best.Ippo and Hikaru both go through rough times in their conquest to get better. In fact, I pretty much hate the sport. With that being said, this series is brilliantly done.Follow Ippo as he grows as a person and as a professional boxer. You'll laugh, and you'll probably cry here or there. The fact that I don't even like boxing never came in to play. The supporting characters are awesome. They also support Ippo as he meets his trials of boxing and life. You won't be disappointed with the 76 episodes. It isn't gorgeous visually and it isn't original and it isn't unpredictable...And doesn't that say something?Hajime's your prototypical earnest, hardworking, blue collar good guy who's trying to make himself better and, despite a serious lack of confidence, he's pretty likeable. They tease each other and torment each other and it creates this really nice sense of playfulness that's underscored by a strong sense of loyalty and affection. So, if you'd be interested in a good underdog story with a side dish of male bonding...Hajime no Ippo's just what you need. You'll end up rooting for someone and hoping for that someone to be vicious.Even if you don't like boxing I encourage you to at least try this one.Im not a boxing fan at all but this series is very entertaining. What is not very appealing is that you can really figure out what will happen if you watch most of the series. The artwork is somewhat different then most series.View boardRecent Forum DiscussionNo discussion topics have been the gym are astonished by his natural aptitude for the sport and begin training him for the battles to come.Hajime no Ippo is, without a doubt, the cream of the crop in the genre. The animation and art are both fine, on par with other current anime. There are some mighty good tunes throughout the series; I especially liked the first opening Under Star, though I know not everyone shares that opinion. The action in Princess Nine follows along the same lines.Hopefully an OVA or movie will explain some of it because I will gladly sign on for more of this terrific show. This is one of the best anime I have ever seen.Hajime no Ippo is up high on my Top 10 anime list, and I would eagerly recommend it to anyone who likes anime...Fighting and character development have never tangoed so well together.Hajime no Ippo would have gotten repetitive fast had it not been for the ultimate focus on each of its characters, whether friend or foe.Feeling for them so much intensifies every aspect of this show and makes watching the next episode a necessity. The only letdown was the constant monologues taking place before, during and after matches. This is the first time I connected with characters to this extent, and I recommend this series to every action fan looking to expand his or her horizon. For me, Hajime no Ippo was no doubt the biggest and most pleasant surprise ever when it comes to anime.Ultimately, it becomes apparent that even though this anime appears to completely revolve around the sport of boxing, it is truly about the characters, and Hajime no Ippo digs surprisingly deep into the wonderful characters it presents. No doubt, the best thing about this show is not the boxing scenes.Sure, they are shockingly entertaining and always keep you on the edge of your seat, but certainly what makes this anime so interesting is what happens between the fights. This is when you see the characters interact, train and grow. This is where anyone can relate to the characters on a personal level. The fights are not as simple as good vs.From a more technical standpoint, this show is just as successful. The plot is both slow moving and fast paced at the same time.Hajime no Ippo first caught my attention when I saw a few episodes at Otakon 2003.However, it was not until I had a chance to see the series from start to finish that was I in awe at the way an anime could flawlessly combine boxing with characters to create something with a lot of style and substance.Despite the fact that I am not a boxing fan, I was dragged right into Hajime no Ippo from the very beginning and could feel every bit of joy, laughter, pain, embarrassment and sadness with all of the characters. After Ippo won his first fight, I could feel his enormous grin on my face and his pride rocket up to new heights.Granted, you will not receive an introspective look on each and every character in the series, but instead will get more than enough information to understand their situations and motivations.Hajime no Ippo is very male oriented in both content and humor, and if you are not hooked by the first few episodes, you probably will not be hooked at all. However, this is undoubtedly the gem of the sports genre and is a good sign for the future of anime.Am I ever glad that I did!Focusing on the career of Makunouchi Ippo, Hajime no Ippo depicts not only the glory of victory but also the pain a boxer must endure to become a champion and how the devastating blow of defeat can shatter a boxer's spirit. All of this works thanks to some brilliant characters, who all have their own unique motivations for fighting. The anime goes to great lengths to explain their reasons for boxing. Most of the characters are fighting for reasons that the viewer can connect with. The fights themselves are amazing, but the added depth that the characters bring makes them something with which few series can compete. It all combines to create a great sense of the suffering they endure for the sport they love. These scenes are just as entertaining as the fights and allow for better insight into the lives of the main characters. The training scenes also show some genuinely funny humor that will have viewers rolling on the floor in stitches.Even with these problems, Hajime no Ippo is an amazing series. The characters truly make this a unique anime that should not be missed!
