enhanced the vasoconstrictor responses in both normotensive and
hypertensive pregnant rats, making them indistinguishable from those of
nonpregnant animals.This influence has been attributed to a postjunctional
effect and not to prejunctional inhibition of NE transmission, since NO
synthase inhibitors did not alter the amount of NE released
by EFS.NE
