jazz-funk history, jazz-funk songs, jazz-funk artists

The ARP Odyssey, ARP String Ensemble, and Hohner D6 Clavinet also became popular at the time.Hop and a little bit of quiet tap.Miles Davis, and Herbie Hancock.Norman Jay, and Gilles Peterson, have both the jazz community and the pop professionals beginning to understand the value of the genre.Today, Eddie Henderson, Donald Byrd, and Herbie Hancock are seldom challenged as influential jazz musicians.Contemporary jazz artists have also contributed to the rediscovery, most notably Nathan Haines and Courtney Pine. The role of producers Many mainstream artists in jazz used the talents of a few producers who were specialists in the genre and generated great commercial success. While Herbie Hancock was always his own producer, he teamed up with Mike Clark and Paul Jackson and formed "The Headhunters".Nile Rodgers and Bernard Edwards from Chic in the early 80's.Great Yarmouth on the east coast, to the Vauxhall Holiday park in 1996.May, October and on New Year's Eve.The 2003 album British Hustle: the Sound of British Jazz Funk 1974 to 1982, compiles tracks by some of the above artists. It's recorded on the Soul Jazz label, ASIN: B0000C84NU, Catalogue Number: SJRCD82.In 2006, it was still available on CD and 12" vinyl.Jazz have, for a large majority, adopted it in one or more of their tracks. These movements are called Nu jazz, and Broken beat and are however heavily dominated this Planet" !!!According to Cuscuna in his recent *P jazz chat!"Get Up With It", back in the day sound quality aside, why should I buy the new version ?How do you like the album?"Get Up With It" compares favorably to the other "electric Miles" stuff from the early to mid 70's.Load it up on your box right next to "Big Fun", "On the Corner", "Jack Johnson" and the others. You can't go wrong in buying it !!What if Miles ever considered doing an lp with James Brown, or Sly Stone?Jimi, but formal sessions just could never be worked out.Doesn't it remind you of JB's music?JB heard this album, and what he might've thought? We were giving high fives and urging the band and Miles on!!He would give us a nod and then go tho the other side of the stage. That Miles band was a killer....And to have them and Herbie on the same night!!!Did he seem a little too "prepared" for the evening?Funk Unit is the fruit of labor by NYC bassist Ivan "Funkboy" Bodley.Shipping costs will be added when you check out.Jazz standards redefined with modern funk, Latin, and swing beats.Funk Unit tight and swinging, delightfully different."I'm happy to inform you the record is at least twice as interesting as the accompanying story."Carla Thomas, Tokens, Uptown Horns, and Peter Wolf. This is is first record date as a bandleader.Funk often treads the line between experimental Fusion and poppy Disco, though it generally maintains a tight, electrified sound resting on a base of repetitive rhythms.Jazz artists began combining crisp backbeats and jazzy arrangements in the...Galactic Ramsey Lewis Brand New
