La Vache biography, La Vache discography

It has always amused me how far the word "cow" can get you in the French language."Cow" may already be a funny word, no matter what your motive is to guffaw, but the extent of the usage of it in French is another thing. It's fairly frequently used, mostly in a slang or colloquial way, rather than in reference to the animal.I'll explain some useful examples of both.Well, here's a quick French lesson.NOUN: As a noun vache, has pretty straightforward meanings, which aren't too confusing when understood in context."Cow" would be the literal meaning of la vache, but there is much more to the word than that. When using this word to speak of a woman, it can roughly equal "bitch".When describing a man, it can equal something around the lines of "swine" or "rat".One can also call a policeman this, which would be like calling him a flatfoot.Generally speaking, vache can also mean gull or sucker.Or you can just switch those all around.Vachement is generally used to express enthusiasm.Instead of translating J'aime bien la vache, elle est vachement vache!Create a New User if you don't already have an account.La Vache, 1970 sheet metal overall (height): 86.Artists Rights for scientists and academics down to three for commoners. However, in terms of popular literary accounts, la Bastille was a place of horror and oppression; a symbol of autocratic cruelty.Les invalides about it the wrong way.Adam (or Eve, as the case may be).I'd much rather wait for someone to come find me.But it doesn't work that way does it?What really struck me, however, was the networking doors that it could open.Who knows what could come of it?Days after Ike, one of my managers jokingly said that she had a waterfall installed in her bedroom.Sleeping in the living room wasn't so bad, but the other day she had to go into her bedroom to get something. As a result, anyone who so desires can waltz into her apartment and take whatever they want.Needless to say, she's looking for another place to live. It's going to take a while for Houston, Galveston and all other affected areas to go completely back to normal. Now that the craziness that Hurricane Ike brought to our fair city of Houston has, for the most part, died down, perhaps it is a good time to show my pictures from a couple of days after the storm. At the beginning of the walk the dogs knew something was different.Branches that hadn't been there before were blocking the path. The water level was much higher. At times the usually clear path seemed truly unpassable, but the Vache Espagnoles were not deterred, oh no.It was up and around we went.Once off the path the walk home through the neighborhood offered some interesting changes as well. And discovered wonderously new enormous puddles.I'll be back to post a few pics and discuss more about the biggest hurricane to hit Houston in years, but for now, I just wanted to let you know that we're fine.Hurricane Ike is getting closer.Houston is bracing itself for the storm.Others are being cautious and still others are kicking back and enjoying the long weekend that the weather has offered us.Last night we went to Molina's and sipped on margaritas in the outdoor patio. We went to Spec's liquor store afterward, because if we are going to be confined to our house through the weekend, we can't very well do it without wine.We weren't the only ones with this idea.It seems some people are anxious about gas, some about food, but others have a broader idea of what counts as "emergency supplies".Of course, we are being cautious as well. The storm is supposed to hit late tonight. But until then we are just enjoying spending time at home. We'll just have to wait and see what happens.Has it really been a year??Just think: this time last year I was on a stage singing acapella to a banquet hall of Chinese teachers.Let's just say, as much as I miss China, I'm quite content to be at home in my sweats instead. To all you teachers out there: thank you.You make the world better. And no, I haven't been in Tokyo all this time (it took me a while to update the "where in the world is LVE?"But I'm not going to lie, La Vache Espagnole has been having something of an existential crisis. This is the main reason it's taken me so long to post. So, I'm just going to wait an see what becomes of LVE.And in any case, it really is good to be back.
