Ideas remain unactualized until they are created through
the power of speech. And the Word was with God and the Word was God...Clearly, there is a reason why such widely divergent sources of religious wisdom as the
Vedas, the New Testament and the Dalai Lama speak in common ideas. In either instance, the word is based upon energy. For although there is a general meaning which comes to be associated
with mantras, the only lasting definition is the result or effect of saying the mantra. The human consciousness is really a collection of states of consciousness which
distributively exist throughout the physical and subtle bodies.Like the organs, there is a primitive
consciousness also associated with each system.Similar functions and states of consciousness exist within the subtle body as well.So individual organ consciousness is overlaid by system consciousness, overlaid again by
subtle body counterparts and consciousness, and so ad infinitum.Mantras start a powerful vibration which corresponds to both a specific spiritual
energy frequency and a state of consciousness in seed form.At this point, a change of state occurs in the organism.Mantras are tools of power and tools for power. But the journey from mantra to freedom is a wondrous one.The mind expands, deepens and
widens and eventually dips into the essence of cosmic existence. On its journey, the mind
comes to understand much about the essence of the vibration of things. In the case of mantra, this power is tangible and wieldable.Similarly, there is no word which is the exact equivalent of the experience of sticking
one's finger into an electrical socket. But shock is really a definition of
the result of the action of sticking our hand into the socket. It is the same with mantras. The only true definition is the experience which it
ultimately creates in the sayer.Over thousands of years, many sayers have had common
experiences and passed them on to the next generation.Through this tradition, a context
of experiential definition has been created.Definitions of mantras are oriented toward either the results of repeating the mantra
or of the intentions of the original framers and testers of the mantra.Shreem is the seed sound for the
principle of abundance (Lakshmi, in the Hindu Pantheon. But abundance can take many forms.Sanskrit mantras are composed of letters which correspond to certain petals or spokes
of chakras in the subtle body. You can use fire either to
cook your lunch or to burn down the forest.Sanskrit term for a form of
life energy which can be transferred from individual to individual. There can be heat or coolness as a
result of the transfer.Mind, Spirit, driste, pranayama,
breath, breathe, breathing techniques, yamas, niyamas, health, nutrition,
meditation, Massachusetts, MA, Ma.Agey concept when you first hear
about Mantra Meditation.Mantra Meditation is a VERY Powerful technique! You
will discover that the repetition of Mantra allows your mind to focus and
concentrate more completely on sound, and clear away other thoughts, emotions
and distractions which divert our energies. Our senses become more acute
and our mind become sharper and more perceptive as the mind clears away the
jumble of unnecessary inner dialogue. This enables us to develop a
direction and focus in our actions. In our daily
external actions, we are physically active and capable.Mantra Meditation has to
offer.Mantra Meditation (a deeply spiritual, sacred
style of Meditation) offers a new opportunity of connecting with your
spirit. The life force that is YOU is beyond your
body, beyond your intellect and mind, beyond your emotions and heart. That
is the part of ourselves we try to connect with through meditation.Let
go of negative connotations and images, let go of fear, and reframe your
spirituality in a positive way, that lets you see beauty, safety and
unconditional boundless love. When you can, shower
and dress in clean (historically white) loose fitting clothing.Sit in a sacred
space that you have set aside for your spiritual practices.Set aside your own space and make sure that
other members of your household understand its importance to you.TO YOU from the
divine.Cherish the Poem as if it were read and honored, and given
back to you for safekeeping in your heart.Find a comfortable seated position which allows your
spine to be straight and erect. If you are not comfortable sitting on the
floor, use a straight backed chair. You may also use a cushion,
and sit on the edge of the cushion, tilting your pelvis. This keeps the
spine straight and comfortable when sitting for extended periods of time.Slow steady inhalations, long smooth
exhalations.May my longing be
filled.Divine Being connect with me, to open my heart to its possibility.Once you connect this deeply, you will
learn to be totally at peace, at one, when things are going on around you.Saying Mantras out Loud is akin to the Technique of CHANTING.Find the
method that resonates with you.As you inhale, say to yourself OM.Sometimes, you will go up to the number 12, or 13 or
higher. If you notice this, just go back to the number one on the next
exhalation. The idea is that the mind should go to the number 10 and
be willing to start over again.Observe the sound integrating
into your consciousness. The repetition of the sound calms our senses and our
mind.Chanting or speaking your mantra out loud helps shut
out distraction and allows you to remain focused. As you progress with your practice, you will be able to keep the
concentration firm and steady and be able to use Upamshu Japa.Japa), is the MOST DIFFICULT.It is very easy for our mind
to wander when it is unaccustomed to being still and silent. However, silent japa takes us the most deeply into
ourselves.Japa) for more experienced Meditators.Questions,

Buddha are contained
in this mantra: Om Mani
Padme
Hum can not really be translated into a
simple
phrase or sentence. It is appropriate, though, to say a little
about the mantra,
so that people who want to use it in their meditation practice will
have
some sense of what they are doing, and people who are just curious will
understand a little better what the mantra is and why it is so
important
to Tibetan Buddhists. We begin in the next section with some
information
about the mantra itself. There is one further complication: The
syllablePad
is pronounced Pe (peh) by
many
Tibetans: Om Mani Peme Hung.India
into Tibet, the pronunciation changed because some of the sounds in the
Indian Sanskrit language were hard for Tibetans to pronounce. The True Sound of Truth
An old story speaks about a similar problem. The student's humility was far from
perfect,
but the teachers at the monastery were not worried. The hermit lived alone on an island at the
middle of a
lake, so the meditator hired a man with a boat to row across to the
island.I'm afraid you've
wasted your
whole life! You are pronouncing the mantra incorrectly!"On the way back across the lake the meditator, now
confirmed
as an accomplished teacher, was pondering the sad fate of the
hermit.At least
he will
have a little time to practice correctly before he dies."Just then,
the
meditator noticed that the boatman was looking quite shocked, and
turned
to see the hermit standing respectfully on the water, next to the
boat.I've forgotten
the correct pronunciation again.Would you please repeat it for
me?"Whether
happy or sad, if we take the "mani" as our refuge, Chenrezig will never
forsake us, spontaneous devotion will arise in our minds and the Great
Vehicle will effortlessly be realized."People who learn about the mantra naturally want
to know
what it means, and often ask for a translation into English or some
other
Western language.However, Om
Mani Padme Hum can not really be
translated
into a simple phrase or even a few sentences. For those who had the
capacity to understand it, he taught the most powerful method of all, a
method based on the practice of compassion. It is known as the
Mahayana,
or Great Vehicle, because practicing it benefits all beings, without
partiality.Buddha, in this case the Buddha of
Compassion,
Chenrezig. In the vajrayana Buddhist tradition, however, the
blessing
and the power and the superlative qualities of the enlightened beings
are
not considered as coming from an outside source, but are believed to be
innate, to be aspects of our own true nature. In the words of Kalu
Rinpoche,
"Through mantra, we no longer cling to the reality of the speech and
sound
encountered in life, but experience it as essentially empty. That enlightened awareness includes whatever
we might
need to understand in order to save any beings, including ourselves,
from
suffering. For that reason the entire Dharma, the entire truth about
the
nature of suffering and the many ways of removing it's causes, is said
to be contained in these six syllables."Buddha of great compassion, hold me
fast in your compassion. They have no other protector than you. Please
bless
them that they may achieve the omniscient state of buddhahood. With the power of evil karma gathered
from beginningless
time, Sentient beings, through the force of anger, are born as hell
beings
and experience the suffering of heat and cold. The
Dharma, by Kalu Rinpoche, from a chapter
on
The Four Dharmas of Gampopa.Although it may be easy to consider speech
as intangible, that it simply appears and disappears, we actually
relate
to it as something real.We create pleasure and pain through our fundamental clinging
to sound and speech.Then
confusion
of the speech aspect of our being is transformed into enlightened
awareness.Through
continued
application, it becomes our actual experience. In the presence of their lama, they took a vow to do so, and went
off to complete the practice. The other disciple was extremely intelligent, though perhaps not as
diligent,
because he certainly did not launch into the practice with the same
enthusiasm. But when his friend was approaching the completion of his retreat, the
second disciple, who had not recited very many mantras, went up on the
top of a hill.He meditated
that
the sound of the mantra was not only issuing from the mouth of each and
every being, but that every atom in the universe was vibrating with it,
and for a few days he recited the mantra in this state of samadhi. When the two disciples went to their lama to
indicate
they had finished the practice, he said, 'Oh, you've both done
excellently. You were very diligent, and YOU were very wise.Me helps achieve perfection in the practice
of concentration, and the final sixth syllable Hum helps achieve
perfection
in the practice of wisdom. So in this way recitation of the mantra helps
achieve
perfection in the six practices from generosity to wisdom. The path of
these six perfections is the path walked by all the Buddhas of the
three
times. This phrase is often seen as a translation of the
mantra.The

I love this verse...Back in the 1980s when this whole mission business was getting started (about the same time Japanese corporations were singing company anthems) was the last time I saw the paragon of mission statements.Take a look at newsonwomen. But please don't assume the kudos of a philosophy to whuch you have no right. Thanks for confirming that simple is good Guy, and for inspiring us all to make everything as simple as possible, and no more.In my last job in a software company our president and his brother, the commercial director, decided in a democratical meeting that we have to share his brother idea that the Vision of the company is "to make profits of 10 million dollars in three years", so I asked, ok, can we go home after that?Vision or a Mission that ends in the future."Art of Start" yesterday and what a surpise to discover your blog today."Build the fastest spreadsheet on the planet."Excel team at msft, (or so we've heard). The mission statement where I work sounds like a 5 year old wrote it.All the best with your blog. For years I've maintained that ANY corporate mission statement is best contained to four words: We must make money. So glad you've decided to start blogging Guy.The other thing you may want to comment on, as I intend to, is what's with this whole trend of Dumbness as marketing tool.Maybe you can call up some of these companies that have these grandiose mission statements, and ask them to hold a contest at your web site.Email Address: (Not displayed with comment.CogheadBuild online applications by dragging and dropping.JajahMake VOIP calls easily and cheaply.SpokeoTrack your friends across over forty websites. The video has been added to your playlist.Thank you for sharing your concerns.Thank you for flagging this video. We can only process copyright complaints submitted by authorized parties in accordance with processes defined in law. Please refer to our Help Center for more information and the complete instructions.Change this to see only comments above a certain value.Change the value of a comment by clicking on a thumb.Cher sang this mantra in her Farewell Tour...This mantra is for everyone. This mantra is for every one.In india the saint has no past and likewise the mantra has to be chanted.Namaste,Thank you dd1857 this singer is one of my favorites, the song "Invokes A Light that grants Bliss, helping with depression. Also Great for those who experience winter, and have less light of the Sun granting God's Light to the Earth plane and within "the_self"Granting compassion and intelligence of God.Well sorry for trying to make a foreign language more accessable.White people love Hinduism more than a born Hindu! The code changes based on your selection.Sunday open to private parties. The spirit of Asian cuisine is best represented by exploring new flavors together in a sharing atmosphere.Mantra's signature cuisine of Asian flavors is a journey that allows you to experiment.Create the courses of whatever you crave, there are no rules.Your server will be happy to be your guide.Today I got to escape for a couple hours and take the train to Lucerne (or Luzern as the locals spell it).How far will a brand stretch?Friday's Wall Street Journal offers two examples of brands trying to stretch outside their traditional boundaries.Tesco's entrance into the US market. They're looking to compete with the likes of Burberry and Coach. It's associated with durable, not with style.Repositioning Samsonite can be done if they create a cool enough product, but it will be challenging and I'm not sure it's the smartest move for the company.Everyone here works hard but also knows how to play hard, and we've had a terrific time.Dave Aaker, the vice chairman of Prophet and the man who literally wrote the book(s) on brand strategy.See if you can write your own tagline that clearly captures the essence of your brand. It's not a quick and easy process, but it pays off. Some companies live and breathe their brand positions, and they're articulated perfectly in rarely changed tag lines. In the good old days, clients were happy with

social responsibility is the continuing commitment by business to
behave ethically and contribute to economic development while improving
the quality of life of the workforce and their families as well as of
the local community and society at large. All of this sounds great and admirable...When you think of the words responsibility and behave, what pops into your mind? And perhaps that's why corporate responsibility has typically been encoded into rules, programs and accounting standards.Sometimes it's delegated to HR to initiate charity or volunteer programs.Character is something that you are.Brand building focuses on character. If we're interested in how companies can act for the good of employees, customers, communities and the world, then we must choose words that are motivational and aspirational...These are aspirational character traits for a brand. When used as hiring criteria, these traits can create formidable brands that make measurably positive impacts on the world. My earlier post discussed some initial ideas for defining a worthwhile brand: does it measurably improve quality of life, make the world a better place, or leave no trace on the Earth? But of course nothing is so black or white.I'm trying to find the line between worthwhile and the rest, and it's pretty damn hard.First I started thinking about brands that are the opposite of worthwhile: cigarette brands, perhaps, or gambling (but of course smokers and gamblers would disagree with me.By all traditional accounts, Apple is a great brand...Objectively speaking, they make computers and music players with an original spin. But are sustainability and charity the only two ways to create a brand that makes a positive impact on the world? But where to raise it, and which brands to exclude?Between great and worthwhile (ie.Many people can't imagine life without their Apple computer or their iPod.Does this qualify as a worthwhile and positive contribution? These are the guys everyone's striving to be like, right? But do passionate customers make a brand Worthwhile?I'd love to hear from you.No corporate action is completely altruistic, but I think there are plenty of opportunities for brands to think more creatively about how to benefit more people than themselves. This is what I'm terming a worthwhile brand...Let's all expect more from the businesses from which we buy, and expect more of the companies where we work.Marketers and executives: how can you can make your brands more worthwhile?
