M Fada biography, M Fada discography

For the past twelve years, M Donnelly has been the primary sponsor of the All Ireland Poc Fada, a unique hurling competition that takes place annually on the picturesque Cooley Mountains in Co.The course, over the Cooley Mountains, is 5 kilometres in length and the winner is the person to cover the course in the least number of pucks.Ireland gold, silver and bronze medals are presented to the winners. The winners of the Comortas Bertie (Pairs Competition) receive The Corn Setanta and Corn na Craoibhe Rua cups. This was the Tipperary goalkeeper's third win in four years. There were twelve hurlers competing for the All Ireland trophy and medal.Carlow's Lyndsey Condell won the Camogie Poc Fada title with Waterford under 16 captain Patricia Jackman coming second."Martin has been a great friend to and supporter of the All Ireland Poc Fada. His enthusiasm for the staging of the great hurling day has been as important as his financial contribution and we look forward to a great day of hurling skills and competition on the mountain. The Corn Cuailnge went to Tipperary goalkeeper Brendan Cummins, his second Poc Fada title in three years.Among those in attendance were GAA President Nickey Brennan, Camogie President Liz Howard, and Irish boxers Bernard Dunne and Matthew Macklin.Macklin knows Eoin Kelly well. His mother comes from Co Tipperary and he played hurling during childhood summers spent there. In the Camogie Poc Fada, Westmeath's Mary Henry broke the course record to win with 28 pucks.Patricia Jackman came in second with 31 pucks 38m.Clare's Denise Lynch was third with 31 pucks 14m.Nickey Brennan CLG, Liz Howard CCG, Poc Fada Taskforce Chairman Donie Nealon and Sponsor Martin Donnelly presented the winners with All Ireland medals and inscribed crystal vases. The programme will be shown on Sky Sports and Setanta Sports in October. The M Donnelly All Ireland Poc Fada Final which takes place this coming Saturday the 5th of August on Annaverna Mountain Ravensdale County Louth boasts a high quality range of hurlers and 2005 Champion Albert Shanahan will have quite a job to hold onto his title.Tipperary goalkeeper Brendan Cummins, who holds the 5km Course Record with 48 pocs, returns to the mountain and he will be highly fancied to take the title. However 1999 and 2001 Champion, Clare goalkeeper Davy Fitzgearald, will also hope to have a say on the destination of the Corn Setanta.Donie Nealon, Chairperson of the Poc Fada National Committee said that it once again promised to be a tremendous hurling contest and he had words of praise for sponsor Martin Donnelly for his enthusiasm for the unique GAA event.Irish boxing stars Bernard Dunne and Matt Macklin will accompany the hurlers around the mountain this year. This is Bernard's first trip to the mountain but he as Munster Poc Fada Champion is expected to make a bold attempt. He will be determined to make a strong showing.Adrian is also a new comer to this mountain course and faces the 5km course with confidence.Shane is the proud holder of the Leinster Poc Fada title.Keith will also have gained a great confidence from his visit last year.Mac Seain trophy has been over the past few years a regular contestant in this great hurling contest. One of our best hurlers in the country makes a welcome visit to Annaverna Mountain. The tough 5km course awaits this prolific scorer.Albert has
