I run Linux as my main OS.Each operating system is good for different purposes.OS X is great for editing media of all types.But when it comes to general use, anyone can easily use any of these and buy a few better parts when I buy a new pc so what?Admit it, the majority of windoze users are just too lazy to even consider something else just because someone (a lame, dumb, lazy salesman) told them that windoze is the best easiest thing in the world.Has your windoze ever died mysteriously?Have you tried the recovery console from the cd to bring it back to life?Then try on the forums you will always find an useful answer.Oh and if you look hard enough I'm sure you will find great free apps to replace some crappy ones you've been using and complaining about for ages.And people that say "Computer geeks, get a life" you get the finger .The biggest fights are always family affairs.Win, Mac, and Lin sure are...Everyone must know by now about OS X being based on BSD Unix, the Mach kernel I believe.It works well in my (limited) experience of the OS.And Win NT is the direct ancestor of XP and Vista.Very solid OS, and been that way for a _l_o_n_g_ time.It's all built into any good Linux distro, or available in minutes from the repositories.Apple just charge more than I want to pay, or I'd have owned a Mac by now.Great styling, Apple, great marketing too.It runs on dedicated hardware using linux.Lots of very stable and very high end software does where speed and stability are paramount.Word can't even format it's own older .Nowadays in modern distributions you don't need the
