as of 17:52, 3 July 2007 (UTC).Maceo Rigters (born 22 January 1984 in Amsterdam, Netherlands) is a Dutch footballer, currently playing for Norwich City on loan from Blackburn Rovers.He also played for FC Dordrecht and NAC Breda before joining Blackburn Rovers.Rigters replaced Benni McCarthy in the 65 minute.He played the first start on 30 August against MyPa, a UEFA Cup first round match.After made his Premier League debut on 29 September 2007, he just managed to play another Premier League game on 11 February 2008.On the 29th of March, during the Home defeat to Bristol City FC, Maceo sustained a suspected pulled hamstring, which will likely keep him out till the end of the season, and ultimately for the rest of his loan period with Norwich City FC.Unfortunately, on the 1st of April, it was confirmed by Norwich City FC that Maceo had torn his hamstring.Which means a prolonged spell on the sidelines is most probably likely.Rigters scored the third goal, his fourth of the tournament, which was enough to edge him ahead of England's Leroy Lita and give him the Golden Boot as top scorer.After the tournament he was named in the 'UEFA Team of the tournament'.External links
