System Syn has been recording music and performing live since 1997.In 2004, System Syn released their debut album "Premeditated" on Sector 9 Studios in the US and Out of Line Records in Europe.System Syn followed the release of "Premeditated" with a very successful North Amercan tour with Imperative Reaction, and a German festival tour with Icon of Coil, Hocico, God Module and Spetsnaz.Q: What inspired you to use the name "system syn"?Did you ever feel like just packing it all in?Clint: I don't think that I would have ever given up music, but I did come pretty close to giving up the pursuit of a musical career.Q: Which comes first, the lyrics or the music?Q: You have two new albums coming out later this year.I'm keeping their names a secret for now though, at least until the album is finished.Also, Imperative Reaction, the band that I play keys for live, will have a new album out in a few months too!You've also toured in Germany.Do you have any plans to go anywhere else in Europe or the rest of the world?In June, I'll be going to Germany with Imperative Reaction for the WGT festival, but that is the only immediate plan I have for shows outside of the US.Q: Which do you prefer, working in the studio or doing live performances?In the studio I don't have to worry about that because I can do as many takes as I need to to get things right.Q: Who do you get on most with out of your two bandmates?Like I can really answer that.It would just be a bad scene all around.Seriously though, I get along with both Jake and Adam really well.We've been friends long before this band was around.What's wrong with the other one, huh??Is there anything else you'd like to say?Clint: Thanks so much for the interview!I've heard a few songs, on Interbreeding IV and elsewhere, can't think where.False Convictions x Fake Intentions.Not very creative, but good.Awesome band, would love to see them live sometime!System Syn are great and Im really looking foreward to hearing the new work!Clint Carney first began writing and performing music under the name system syn in 1997.On top of all of system syn's studio work, the band was also building a reputation for themselves as a powerful live act, having shared the stage with such artists as Daniel Ash (of Love and Rockets, Bauhaus and Tones on Tail), Red Flag, Seabound, Stromkern, Informatik, Babyland, etc.To promote the release, system syn departed for an extensive North American tour with Imperative Reaction.Id + " Link: " + targetLink.MET 549

01.Clint Carney first began writing and performing music under the name System Syn in 1997.EPs, remixed over fifteen top electronic artists, appeared on seven different compilations, and contributed to a motion picture soundtrack.On top of all of System Syn's studio work, the band was also building a reputation for themselves as a powerful live act, having shared the stage with such artists as Daniel Ash (of Love and Rockets, Bauhaus and Tones on Tail), Red Flag, Seabound, Stromkern, Informatik, Babyland, and many more.System Syn eventually caught the attention of record labels, and in 2004 their 1st international debut, Premeditated, was released on Sector 9 Studios in North America and on Out of Line in Europe.To promote the release, System Syn departed for an extensive North American tour with Imperative Reaction.Afterwards, the band left for Germany in November of 2004 to perform at a series of "Out of Line Electro Festivals" with Hocico, Icon of Coil, God Module and Spetsnaz.Eleven tracks of electronic mastery, the new album evoked a sense of compassion amongst its crushing beats, playful melodies, and comforting vocals.Now, two years later System Syn returned to answer that question.End stands out as one of the most important releases of 2008.Dripping with catchy hooks and melodies laden with persuasive beats, the emotive lyrics add a dynamic all to themselves.If Depeche Mode had balls, it would be System Syn.Like Every Insect (Existential Mix by Babyland)
