Takkyu Ishino biography, Takkyu Ishino discography

They will be examined and if approved will be included in a future update.IMDb is powered by Perl and we are hiring!During the past few years, Takkyu Ishino has earned huge recognition worldwide both as a DJ and as a credible solo artist.Born on December 26, 1967 in Shizuoka, Japan, Takkyu Ishino began his musical career by forming a band named Zinsei (meaning "one's life") together with his then high school mate, Pierre Taki.In 1990, following the break up of Zinsei, he formed Denki Groove which later became the most successful techno act in Japan. As "Japanese DJ Takkyu Ishino", he has been active throughout Europe centering in Germany for the last few years. He put out his first solo album titled DOVE LOVES DUB in 1995.Manga AKIRA, which of course attracted plenty of attention when the album first came out in Japan.Their relationship continued with Takkyu producing the theme track "In Yer Memories" for the next Otomo film called Memories. His most recent DJ mix album DJ F 400 was released in Europe in 1999.La" and the album A which sold over 350,000 copies in Japan, they performed in Europe for the first time in 1998 in Germany at the Mayday party, where they put on afantastic performance and captured the hearts of their German audiences.DENKI GROOVE Takkyu Ishino formed "Denki Groove" with Pierre Taki in 1990.They became the best selling new artist of 1991 on Sony Records Japan. Also in 91, they began playing live starting at an observatory of the Tokyo Tower followed by more live shows including Shibuya Quattro which sold out on the same day that the tickets went on sale.Shinjuku Power Station also selling out on the same day that they went on sale, demonstrating just how popular they had become. They released the single "MUD EBIS" in October 1991 followed by their 2nd album "UFO" in November which had more techno flavors and a wider variety of sounds compared to the previous album. In November, they performed at many universities, and had a big success in their first nationwide tour "Bucchigiri TECHNO GROOVE TOUR '91" the core of which was the concert at Shibuya Kokaidou which needless to say was also a complete sell out.The fifth album "VITAMIN" was a turning point for Denki Groove with a stronger emphasis on the techno side of things. The next (mini) album "Drill King Anthology" came out in 1994 and was an imaginary compilation of supposedly famous artists (in reality being the members of Denki Groove in disguise).Generator magazine in the UK regardless of the fact that the re cord has actually not been released there.Musically, both Takkyu Ishino and Yoshinori Sunahara has proven that they have developed their musical talents through their respective solo projects, and contributes on the high quality album. The album marks an epoc in the Japanese music scene allowing techno music to crossover to the pop audience.La", the "A" album went to become the biggest selling album by Denki Groove.Although the album is structured with each song mixed and linked together, it succeeds presenting a diverse musical world by unifying the talents of Takkyu Ishino, Pierre Taki and Yoshinonri Sunahara."Recycled A" is a remix album of A.The album features a line up of great remix work, and at the same time brings out another side of the talented trio.Note: some videos not suitable for minors may still appear in search results.Thank you for browsersuch as Firefox.Takkyu Ishino has been in the mix for over a decade. His music reaches just far enough beyond pereferal pop to grab our a attention but keeps its' feet on the dance floor. He is easily one of my favourite artists. You will not be disappointed.KM:Is there anything in particular that inspired you to become a musician?KM: Where do you draw your inspirations from now?Takkyu: As a dj I travel to many different places and meet many people which gives me inspiration.Takkyu: Of course German bands, DJ's.For Bands, I would name kraftwerk and joy division, which is an all time favorite. For DJ's I would name dj woody and westbam.KM: Did you have any formal musical training?KM: How did you get your first live gig?Takkyu: I don't really remember but I think it was a friends party.KM: What was your first performance like?Takkyu: I didn't know how many records I should bring so I remember bringing a ton of records.KM: Have you ever had a really bad experience at a live show?Takkyu: A live in my hometown, Shizuoka.KM: Could you tell us about your best show and why you think it was your best show?Takkyu: Mostly Punk Bands, which was an extremely great experience.KM: Could you tell us a little about what you are working on with Denki Groove right now?KM: Could you tell us what events contributed to your solo work?Takkyu: Mostly events as a dj contribute. For more details check out www.But I am careful about sampling.Takkyu: At the moment, that is what I am doing.August 25, I was almost finished with the album when all the data erased!KM: You have laid tracks for movies like Ghost in the Shell.KM: Have you laid any tracks for video games?Takkyu: ghost in the shell.KM: Are there any movies coming out soon that you will be contributing music to?KM: Do you have any philosophy behind your music?Takkyu: If I am in the studio too long, I miss touring but then again if I am touring I miss the studio.KM: What advice do you have for young people that would like to break into music or become DJ's?Takkyu: Don't try to be taught by other people.KM: How have Americans been responding to your shows?KM: When do you plan on returning to America for a tour?Takkyu: NO plans for America.KM: Do you have anything you would like to say to your American fans?KM: Will you be touring with Denki Groove or coming solo?Takkyu: Hey, not just one drink, buy me a few.KM: Anything that you would like to add?Available Media:No media is available at this time for this artist.Take a listen to Denki Groove's 1993 album Vitamin, and then compare it to Ishino's 1993 remix of Pizzicato Five's "Twiggy Twiggy," which reduces the song down to the chanted title words and a pulsing, evolving techno track.Ishino's techno expertise gives Vitamin its punch, but not its pop; on "Twiggy Twiggy" it's all him, making no concessions to the mainstream. The band broke through in 1993 with Vitamin and 1994 with Dragon, and in 1995 they took a hiatus to focu ...UK, Japan,
