When the romance between Mike and Julie began to fade, both Faye Grant and Michael Ironside pushed to have a romance between their characters.Unfortunately, Ironside's character Ham was written out before this could happen, and the show was canceled before he could return.The story was great and I loved the
characters.Elias was awesome and Ham Tyler was just too cool.It seemed very realistic on an
emotional level with heroism and treachery but mostly just a lot of people
who were afraid to take a stand on either side.If you love movies with

Howard K.This short section requires expansion.One year after the day when the Red Dust was deployed, now the international holiday called "Liberation Day", the former members of the Resistance and their Fifth Column allies have gone their separate ways and are each looking forward to prosperous careers and bright futures.When Diana is finally put on trial for the atrocities she committed during the First Invasion, Science Frontiers, the company responsible for mass production of the Red Dust, at the behest of its CEO Nathan Bates, arranged for Ham Tyler and his security firm to publicly "assassinate" Diana on her way to the trial and take her to a secret cabin in the woods outside L.After reaching the cabin, Donovan is knocked unconscious by Martin, who wants Diana dead.She forces him to surrender his last antidote pill so she can temporarily survive on Earth and then shoots him, effecting her escape to the Southwest Tracking Station.Attempts to stop her fail, and Diana escapes to a Visitor Shuttle arrived from a new fleet hidden behind the Moon, and Diana proceeds to launch the Second Invasion of the Earth.However, 50 percent of the planet remains safe from Visitor occupation due to the Red Dust bacterium.That same year, Kenneth Johnson announced plans to produce a sequel to the first V miniseries, but one that would disregard both The Final Battle and the subsequent weekly series.The possibility of a sequel of the original would remain open, but would be contingent on the success of the remake.This may have been reversed, however, as according to Kenneth Johnson, a filmed version of the upcoming book V: The Second Generation will be released sometime in the future.Due to budget constraints, the weekly series reused a lot of action footage from the miniseries.However this did create a plot conflict, as in the miniseries, part of the plot involved simulating alien voices, but in the TV series aliens are easily mistaken for humans.In certain dubbed versions, like the French, the Visitors had a deep bass voice, while in German, the pitch shift was maintained throughout the entire series.When the series struggled in the ratings, Ashmore was brought back as Martin's twin brother, Philip.This page was last modified 02:14, 21 January 2008.It was directed by Richard T.Synopsis
V: The Final Battle was played out over three episodes, set one year after the events of the original miniseries.Episode 1
The first episode begins with a Resistance raid on a Visitor processing plant, to rescue humans who have been repackaged into food cocoons.In the raid's debriefing at the Resistance hideout, the team bickers over how things went wrong.Robin Maxwell's pregnancy is also at an advanced stage.The hospital raid is a success, with Julie unmasking John's true nature.Martin and Barbara prevent the mothership from cutting off the live feed.Diana also kills Kristine after she disobeys her orders to dispel the incident as a terrorist hoax and makes an apparent call for rebellion.After a firefight inside the hospital corridors, the rebels escape with help from the Fifth Column, who have assigned a transport crew to "capture" them.The Visitors storm the rebel hideout, but the rebels escape with further advance warning from Ruby, who's now working at their security headquarters as a cleaner.They relocate to an old western movie studio.It is later revealed that the man appearing to be Mike is a Fifth Column agent.Because of the danger of Fifth Column infiltration (especially now with the arrival of Squadron Commander Pamela), Martin ironically suggests that all major prisoners be transferred to security headquarters for further protection.The rebels relocate to an old city jail afterwards.The boy dies while the baby girl, Elizabeth, begins to grow at a rapid rate.Julie and Robert's analysis of the corpse reveals certain bacteria that only affected the boy despite the proximity to Elizabeth in the fetus.Encouraged by the sudden development, the duo decide to culture the germs as a potential weapon.Ham and Mike also get into a small but physical argument over delivering the stocks to other resistance groups when a vaccine was not yet complete, one that would protect the Fifth Columnists.She then tells Mike the possibility that Sean was converted before the exchange, which Ham later confirms.Martin and a number of Fifth Column members arrive at the complex aboard a Visitor tanker vehicle, which would carry a stock of Red Dust for dispersal aboard the mothership.They are later administered with a vaccine for the Red Dust.The raid begins in earnest and Sean's outdated information leads a bulk of the Visitor forces to secure all airbases for an attack that never came.The tanker strike team manages to steal aboard the mothership, where Mike closes all security feeds as the rest of the team pump the toxin into the ventilation system.Robert, Ham, and Chris lead the assault on the Visitor security headquarters.Red Dust mortar blasts eliminate the defenders with no human casualties.The balloons' mass dispersal of Red Dust around the world forces other Visitor ships to leave.The Red Dust begins to circulate, killing more soldiers.Martin brings the mothership back to Earth.This page was last modified 21:44, 22 January 2008.All text is available under the terms of the GNU Free Documentation License.Michael Ironside as tough guy Ham Tyler.V: The Final Battle is awesome.V: The Final Battle it is truely
a great movie.But both parts are very enjoyable.From Resistance Leader Juliet Parish played by Faye Grant, To the Visitors Reptilain Alien Diana played by Jane Badler.This Sci Fi program predates Star Trek Voyager, with its Female Lead by 11 Years.The epic television miniseries comes to an explosive conclusion as a motley force of humans makes a final stand against the reptilian visitors who intend to harvest them as food and use the earth as a giant water cooler.The epic television miniseries comes to an explosive conclusion as a motley force of humans makes a final stand against the reptilian visitors who intend to harvest them as food and use the earth as a giant water cooler.Michael Ironside as tough guy Ham Tyler.You can follow any responses to this entry through the RSS 2.Ill bet Sony had something to do with making this peice of crap too.Grow up you thieving git.What if the original licensee sold his or her copy?Well, to most of you it probably was.Banned from Xbox Live was better.Definatley livened up my morning.Law into effect on comments regarding other readers.That video took an excellent film and made it funny.DVD will pull something out.Now we got to check profiles and get firmware updates to watch each movie.Not to mention registering online for the DRM key that lets us play the movie when we get home.Does that mean that the players will stop working?Or that you will keep needing firmware updates to get the newest authorized keys from Sony.They have been that way with all their standards.They put everything on the table from the beginning.Just for that, I have a hard time figuring out why any studio would back that up without large cash incentives.Still an excellent video nonetheless.How many special features do they have?The rest of the disk is meant for the special features.Sony figured that people equate bigger storage with better quality.When it came to games, the only reason that all of that space was needed is because they had to be loaded onto the disc twice to reduce search times.Does there have to be a winner?Those combo players are a bit expensive at the moment.Guess someone flagged it or something.AI, more expansive maps, better graphics, more story, etc.PS3 would have still been the stronger seller especially since it had a year head start.HD movies will take a fairly long time.As for mass storage drives, we are looking at something like i think 300 GB as a common place, or right around there.In addition, we already have some devices that are serving as mass storage devices.Off the top of my head, I can name the Xbox360 (elite hard drive, of course) and the iPod.DVD, and people love their porn.DVD only requires minor upgrades.DVD is a product of Toshiba, not Microsoft.Blu Ray is compared with HD DVD.HiFi dealer who said they actually sell Blu Ray players as they now think the format will win, but demo HD DVD to show quality !So in conclusion, the industry needs to grow up (as it now has with iPODs and CDs being ripped) and spend more time on consumer quality and encouraging people to use media fully but fairly.If you want to listen to some music, plug in your iPod.Need to back all of that up?DVD is having no problems serving the needs of the public.Oblivion, for example, fit perfectly on a regular DVD.Somehow, they were fitting all of the movie and extra features on a regular DVD without any problems.HD formats will become necessary for the next console generation if the keep boosting the power and content of the games.That simple truth is the underlying premise of V: The Miniseries, Kenneth Johnson's allegory to World War II and fascism.Former med student Julie Parrish (Grant) and former newscaster Mike Donovan (Singer) now lead a motley crew of resistance members in Los Angeles.TV series that followed six months later and lasted a mere 19 episodes.While no one was going to win an Emmy for acting, Grant and Singer are competent leaders of the pack, which has great continuity with the first miniseries thanks to the return of many of the same faces in supporting roles.Michael Ironside's Ham Tyler, a mercenary with sharp tongue and the mettle to do what needs to be done.Definitely recommended for anyone who enjoyed the first film.
