It All Goes Up in Flames
Before I say anything else, if you do read this, wherever you have decided to go to, I still stick by what I said to you during that TSD session we had this year.You've been an inspiration to me.Because if it weren't for you, and the many others I've met in the course of my JC life, I would not have become who I am now.Yes, I know that perhaps you have bigger plans.Yes, I know that perhaps you have things you'd rather do.That was my weakness, too much of the brain, too little of the heart, even when the heart burns so much for me to do something.That was your lesson, how to surpass reason, sometimes, to do something completely out of the blue, to excite that moment of magic.But at this moment, I see no moment of magic.Maybe when we're all older, and you succeed at whatever you aim to do, I'll understand.Maybe then, we'll all understand.But till then, forgive me for hating the decision you made, because it has hurt so many.Forgive me for hating your decision, because of how it has affected your teachers.Forgive me for hating your decision, because of how it has affected your class.Forgive me, for not being able to forgive you.The feeling of having tried, rather than the feeling of sitting around, not being able to do anything.If I fail, I will practice and I will try again.I'm not even part of the cast for Drama SYF.I'm not going to care about where I am, where I stand.Sure, maybe my poetry is horrible (don't feel bad for telling me about it, I know it's horrible, I just thought it was really funny and cheesy myself :P).Maybe I can't sing very well, maybe I don't dance very well.Thats when I realize, maybe that's what I'm about.Sure, I may not write the best lines, the best poems, the best songs.But if there's one thing I'm good at, and can be even better at, it's delivery of lines.I've written quite a bit of what I'd call "quotable quotes" already.Maybe I don't have the entire prose to tell my story.Maybe I don't have an entire poem to say how I feel.Maybe I can't sing or dance my heart out.And that one line has three words:I am back.Aiyo, what were you thinking.Maybe that's the very thing that makes me different.P) So do check them out yeah.Sunday, April 27, 2008
Beautiful Smile
"Always remember to be happy because you never know who's falling in love with your smile."The smile is probably the most beautiful thing that could ever happen to all of mankind.How some smiles that are so sincere just made you wish you could be like that.It's probably no news to people who (I'm going to spoil the fun here!Just from one smile, one can learn everything, yet learn that there are boundless things they've yet to know about a person.Many a time, a friend, an acquaintance, a stranger even, which a content smile makes me realize that there is still the beautiful, the pleasant and the amazing in this world.Even if my day isn't going well, it feels like somehow I could feed off the positive energy of the people around me who are smiling.The loss of something so important in this world.I'm looking at, but even friends.Required to initialise the Div elements in the archive.That track was written over two years ago...There'll be an EP out before an LP.Expect something for your feet and your soul..Musically, it's been healthier than ever.There's been so much great music being made from all across the globe and producers like Jazzanova and Bugz have certainly played a major part in that.However, unlike other genres say drum'n'bass, which has crossed over, the nu jazz, broken ting or whatever you wanna call it, has been slow to catch on with the masses despite sounding parallel to Timbaland and Neo Soul.The scene is alive and well!Mykal Rose remix with Blood and Fire out on Twilight Circus.I'll also be working on a joint project with Jonny Miller (Wah Wah 45).
