Honor Among Thieves? All copyrights remain with their respective holders, for images,
imprints, books, fan fiction, and music. The "repairman", however, comes on
to her.Burnett and Cooper continue to watch the porno scene play out
as it's being filmed, posing as buyers and distributers of adult films.Stan and Larry
storm in to make the bust and arrest everyone at the scene.Jimmy, Sonny, and Rico are riding in a
car, and it soon becomes obvious they've picked up a tail.Jimmy's driver
immediately drives Sonny and Rico back to the place they've left their own
car, eliminating any immediate chance for continuing work on the porno deal. After Sonny, Rico, and Jimmy exit the car and it speeds away, Jimmy tells
them that Artie was actually the driver. They were responsible for providing the less than
subtle tail on Burnett and Cooper, and are looking for Artie Rollins.Penny may have died of an overdose.Artie Rollins
shows that he is actually Artie Lawson, an undercover agent for the FBI.Rodriguez, however, is unable to find out anything more about Lawson,
and an autopsy shows that Penny McGraw was murdered by strangulation.Switek has a contact with the Feds, and Rodriguez tells Crockett to use
Switek's contact to get more information about Rollins.Crockett and Tubbs
go to see Switek and Zito, who are preparing for a burglary sting operation
in South Dade.Switek doesn't want to "use up" his contact, but Crockett
uses a little subtle blackmail to get Switek to call the contact.Switek
contacts Kalman Claiborne, the Fed, and sets up a meet between Claiborne and
Crockett.Sonny gets a call setting up a meet with Rico, Rollins, and Kovics, for that
evening at a local restaurant.Artie appears to lose control and starts beating up on Renee for being late
with the delivery of the money.Sonny and Rico have to pull Artie off of
Renee, and they're rather disturbed by Artie's overly violent actions. The next day, Crockett and Tubbs go to visit Artie's wife.Artie's wife is upset and wants
him to come home. The two FBI agents choose this moment to show up in search of Artie.Crockett and Tubbs refuse to cooperate. The agents tell Crockett and Tubbs
that Sam Kovics is moving his operation to Mexico almost immediately.Rico
convinces the FBI to allow him and Crockett to continue their work on the
case, since Kovics is planning to sell all his merchandise to them.Crockett and
Tubbs tell Artie the FBI thinks he's gone over.Crockett suggests they bust Kovics as soon as possible.Crockett and Tubbs are concerned that Artie's "on the edge", but decide to
support him, even after Rodriguez informs them that Artie's porno queen
girlfriend has tickets for her and Artie to flee to Mexico, making the move
with Kovics.Crockett and Tubbs return to the St.Crockett goes below deck
and comes out fuming because Elvis has now devoured his whole Buddy Holly
record collection.Miami Vice cops set up the bust, and Tubbs is
outfitted with a wire to collect incriminating evidence on tape.Burnett and Cooper are picked up in a car by Artie and Sam.Kovics gives Artie the gun to kill Crockett and Tubbs. But Artie
quickly pitches one of his guns to Crockett, and a gunfight ensues. In the
end, Kovics and all his men are killed. In the aftermath of the shootings, Artie tells Crockett and Tubbs that he's
done some marginal things, but that he didn't kill Penny McGraw, and that he
can take the heat from the FBI.Crockett telling Tubbs how he feels he's been staring at some
warped image of himself for the past three days.Tubbs says he doesn't know
how Sonny has been doing the undercover work as long as he has.Set Decorator
Robert Lacey, Jr.For the 2006 video game, see Miami Vice: The Game. The film is an adaptation of the 1980s TV series of the same name, written, produced, and directed by Michael Mann. The film stars Jamie Foxx as Ricardo Tubbs and Colin Farrell as James Crockett, as well as Chinese actress Gong Li.Posing as drug smugglers "Sonny Burnett" and "Rico Cooper", the two offer their smuggling services to Jose Yero. They are soon introduced to Archangel de Jesus Montoya, the kingpin of drug trafficking in South Florida.Nazi gang to distribute drugs, and is supplying them with state of the art weaponry.Meanwhile Tubbs begins to worry that Crockett may be getting too deeply involved in his undercover role and fears for the safety of the team.Castillo the unit bravely rescues Trudy but she is still critically injured during the aftermath.Dade police officer who goes undercover to stop a drug operation.Gong Li as Isabella: Financial advisor to Montoya who falls in love with Sonny Crockett.Production
Jamie Foxx brought up the idea of a Miami Vice film to Michael Mann during a party for Ali.Like Collateral, which also starred Foxx, most of the film was shot with the Thomson Viper Filmstream Camera, and the remainder was shot on Super 35mm film.Cinematographer Dion Beebe was also the cinematographer of Collateral. The suits that Jamie Foxx wore in the film were designed by famous fashion designer Ozwald Boateng. He had worked with Jamie Foxx in the past and caught Mann's eye who then asked him to work on the movie. The film, shot on location in the Caribbean, South America, and South Florida, lost seven days of filming to Hurricanes Katrina, Rita, and Wilma.Foxx refused to fly commercially, forcing Universal to give him a private jet.Foxx would not participate in scenes on boats or planes.Farrell's larger salary, something Foxx felt didn't reflect his new status as an Oscar winner.Mann wanted a movie that was as real as it was stylish and even put Colin Farrell in jeopardy by bringing him along (with real FBI drug squads) to drug busts so Farrell could build up the character of Crockett even more.Though Mann set out to craft entirely new characters and story, there were still very subtle references to the television show on which it is based.Yero, "We can close each others' eyes real fast, but then nobody's gonna make no money."In that same episode, Sonny says "Why is he donating to the good and the welfare?"Adam Airplanes, Bacardi, Motorola, BMW, Donzi, MTI (Marine Technology, Inc.Their products are seen throughout the film:
Crockett (Colin Farrell) is seen ordering and drinking a "Bacardi Mojito" from the bartender in the very first scene of the movie and drinks a couple throughout the remainder of the film.Zito uses a Motorola video phone to spy on his partner, Switek, as he goes undercover to bust prostitutes inside of The Mansion nightclub.Series with two Mercury Engines fitted. In the correct sense it is an Offshore Catamaran. The (first) distinctive plane featured in the film is the Adam A500.Like in the original TV series, Crockett and Tubbs drive around in a Ferrari. The model in the film is a Ferrari F430.Later in the movie, they drive a white BMW M6 Coupe, a possible tribute to a white Mercedes Benz they had during the first season.Organized Noise jumped onboard instead.Phil Collins' famous hit "In the Air Tonight", which was featured in the debut episode of the TV series, is featured in the movie and the soundtrack. This song is composed by Klaus Badelt and Mark Batson.Clips of two Audioslave songs, "Wide Awake" and "Shape of Things to Come," are featured in the film but the songs do not appear on the soundtrack. The version of Moby's "Anthem" on the soundtrack does not appear in the film.Instead, prominent placement is given to Moby's "Cinematic Version" of the song. The song plays instrumentally in the background at one point in the movie.Jamie Foxx, when voting for the Vice squad to continue to work with Yero, says, "Let's take it to the limit one more time," making a reference to The Eagles hit song, "Take It to the Limit".It contained many extra features the theatrical version did not and an extended cut of the movie itself.DVD combo discs to be released by Universal Studios.Director's Cuts
The Director's Cut of the movie runs approximately seven minutes longer than the Theatrical Cut of the movie and contains significant changes. In the Director's Commentary, Michael Mann notes that calling it a "Director's Cut" is "something of a misnomer" and says that the "Director's Cut" was really a result of the studio prodding him to make a different movie. This leads into the introduction of the character, Neptune, a pimp.He refers to them as "skill sets".The criminal replies with, "what are you doin, what are you doin".In the unrated version, his voice is slightly higher and he says "what are you doin'" before asking if they know whose load of drugs it is.In the unrated version, after Crockett, Tubbs and the rest of the Vice team visit Nicholas, Nicholas is shown making a phone call to Jose Yero.Yero says that he better be right. He has his arms against the wall, his face near the water. In the director's cut, following the scene where Crockett and Tubbs meet Yero and then go to their hotel room, the sequence where Crockett and Tubbs go with the rest of the team to wait for contact from Yero and his people has been entirely deleted.Following that, the scene where Crockett and Tubbs go back to their room and then run into Isabella and Yero's gunmen has been deleted as well. The movie simply cuts from the first hotel scene to the meet with Yero's boss.He does this repeatedly because their cell signals have been blocked. This is spliced with the regular theatrical sequence of Crockett staring at Isabella as they drive off.Tubbs says they should meet in Miami to have breakfast. In the director's cut, following this, Tubbs and Trudy meet at the diner to talk.Trudy is worried that their cover has been blown and Tubbs tries to reassure her that it isn't.The audio for Audioslave's "The Shape of Things to Come" comes up after a small gap of silence after Manzanita's "Arranca" fades out in the Director's Cut.Isabella saying hello to her Aunt with a cup of coffee in her hands.Isabella mentions her mother dying when she was young has now been deleted from the Director's Cut.Instead, Isabella simply states that she will show Crockett a photo of her Mom.Yero and going over transport rules with the Vice squad as well as the shot, at night following that scene, has slight cut differences. In the Director's Cut, after the trailer park druggies capture Trudy and force her to speak to Crockett and Tubbs, the main leader of the Aryan brotherhood calls Jose Yero BEFORE he calls Crockett and Tubbs instead of after.Tubbs as they speak with one another.Nonpoint's "In the Air Tonight" playing behind it.The scene where Isabella runs after Crockett demanding to know who he is while shots are being fired has been cut differently.Following this, there is an added scene where Isabella, angry at Crockett for lying to her, gets angry and proceeds to attack him as he drives to the safehouse, causing the car to spin out on the freeway. The credits in the Director's Cut are different.Miami Vice the Motion Picture, Pal!All text is available under the terms of the GNU Free Documentation License. The playful Italians show that they're no pussies with this electronic ravey behemoth.Attribute("maxlength")) : ""
if (obj. They find him in a graffiti painted apartment with an old beauty parlor dryer on his head and playing a fake guitar. He then claims to be on vacation.Crockett and Tubbs are going to check out the warehouse Noogie turned them onto.Switek and Zito are set to back up Gina and Trudy.Gina looks damn good for once in black spandex and her hair up.Castillo warns them to be careful.Zito and Switek pretend to be Johns and pick up the girls on the streets.Tubbs gets antsy and they go to the warehouse. They rouse a guy named Bob.Crockett lays the spiel on thick and Bob starts talking. All he does is receive the drop off and do the pick up.The junk is going to a guy named Alvarado.Crockett sends Bob home to his wife.Gina, but she quiets him with some stiff bread. She wants off the streets, but they have to wait on the word from on high.Crockett and Tubbs go to the address Bob laid on them.Maybe I was right and it got stripped last episode by the swampbillies.Alvarado tries to cut through a park, but runs over a hot dog cart and stalls out.At the club, Gina is in a new outfit. They set the terms of their deal.Gina says she came in from Chicago because of a few problems and some heat. Some of her clients get down to Miami, so she can be profitable for him.Sonny knows him from a few cases before he got big time.Cain can use that to beat the wrap.Crockett tells him to try.In court, the judge upholds the warrant, but demands that Crockett identifies the informant.Crockett gives her the business about protecting his informants and how they let him do his job.He wants to use her for more special work.Gina is an informant for the feds.He wants her iced after the party that night. At the precinct, Sonny is out thanks to Bob giving himself up to Cain.He did less time than Sonny did.We can guess what went down.Ramirez, but he will roll on Alvarado.Switek tries his hand at comedy at the burlesque joint.Zito mockingly laughs at him, the rest of the place is dead.Tubbs enters and sits down with Alvarado. He tells him they have a new snitch.Gina and Trudy bust Ramirez.Ramirez picks up a knife, so Gina shoots him.Crockett and Gina have a moment. This episode had too much going on.Surprisingly, the storyline with Crockett and Tubbs was filler with Gina having the meaty storyline. If you sub Crockett and Tubbs for Switek and Zito and flesh out some of the angle that would have been a great episode. If you are registered, you can login and post under your registered name.
